As a relative newbie to Melbourne (only been here 2 1/2 years), is this little wind usual in Melbourne at this time of year?
I know everything varies, but my first season here was epic, my second not so good, and this is driving me crazy. Four sails in a month, and nothing really on the horizon for the coming week.
Trying to be patient. Beginning to fail.
she is bad for this time of year. but i have heard even WA has not been the best as well. but the winds up now there is a nice SWester blowing so i am off.
also dude where did ya sail yesterday?? cause i went to hazelwood pond and had a blast. i pulled off the biggest jump i think i have ever done at the pond yesterday. so i am stoked as
the pond gets chop the size of the bay so its alot of fun to sail. did ya get much wind in the city?? you might want to check out hazelwood or the pit next time maybe![]()

Not sure how this spring stacks up - stats have only been collected over a short time
It has definitely been crappy so far this spring season... but winter was very good...
Last year the trick was to get out on the water by 5pm, compared to the year before which provided quite a lot of late-evening sailing.
i only windsurf once a week now
i am going to cry
had a good windsurf at hazelwood last sundy, but still 1 day out of 7, come on. i need to find a new hobby
if this no wind weather keeps up i am chucking me trusty windsurfer in me car and going to head by ship to Tasmania. there been getting gale force winds up there
and the women are better too
much more friendlier than melb women![]()
i would love too, but it will cost me the price of me windsurfer. i might go there when i am rich
