Apparently this is the best stuff to use for downhaul rope.

Does anyone know in Melbourne where you can buy it from?

Shq for sure (cos I got some there), but probably RPS too.

or you could go to Anchor marine. It's right next to shq and might be touch cheaper

Its not... Anchor Marine have terrible prices... and the blokes there are jerks!

SHQ is probably the only place the sells it for a decent price!

Yeah I agree with sflack - unless you've got a 40ft + keel boat and regularly drop big money they give crap customer service. For boat stuff I prefer either The yacht shop at sandy or discount seamart on elizabeth st.

But I will try SHQ first.
