Hi Guys and Girls,
On the back of a highly successful windsurfing clinic in Qld last year. There is a possibility that I can get Matt Pritchard to head back this way. And this time stay a little longer so we can show him around, and run a clinic in NSW or Vic.
This at the moment is by no means confirmed, and i am trying to get a run down on conditions and locations in late november, early december. Ideally, a location that has easy water access, good rigging areas and parking, shelter, toilets etc. and most of all a higher chance of wind in late nov / early dec
What areas suit these requirements?
Thanks in advance
Darryl
As what Kato has said we have run a few clinics from Inverloch it seems to be the better spot. Other locations are Sandy Point which can cover flat water and waves sailing.
Also check
www.wv.org.au
for our other events we have had this year etc. Keep us in the loop and we should be able to help out.
And we can run events....... oh yes we can!!!!
Check this thread out:

The pictures don't give the size of the event jsutice. We had 90 beginners go through lessons over 2 days!!
We even had the pleasure of an on water cameraman (still and movie) as well as jet ski recovery vessel. ![]()
Hey guys thanks for that.
Who's the best club contact to deal with?
Just send me a PM with contact details
cheers

Sorry I had to respond. I thank the others for supporting WV and myself.
My two cents... what is wrong being a member of both clubs? The fact that the 3rd Party insurance comes with the WV membership was the first push for me to join WV. Since then I have received lots of Gybe Marks with interesting content, witnessed lots of events around the bay with the support of SHQ and RPS, met a lot of great people and have seen what a good org it is. Plenty of those events have provided gear for beginners and intermediates. Likewise IWC did a lot of events down in Invy with similar good comms. Why bicker who has done better or worse, let's get Matt Prichard down here and show him what a great bunch of people we are and what great spots for our sport we have in VIC.
Wow!
I really stirred the hornets nest!
Why don't we step it up a notch and get Guy Crib or Peter Hart to Victoria?
Hands up who'll attend a session by one of these?
Thanks for the clarification Steve.
Once WV have insurance that covers me 24/7, not just in an event, I'll pay up my membership.
On the other front, It's great to see other people are just as passionate about this sport as I am. [:&x29;]
I'll be joining wv , just been sold, this is our sport passed down to us and we will pass it down after us , hopefully in even better shape than it is now. The Inverloch club is great and I love the crew but are still the new kids on the block. Much respect to all that has kept this sport going for 30 yrs.![]()
Looks the insurance conditions changed mid 2009, which I must have missed too, thanks Ginger for clarifying this. I still think it's very well worth supporting WV and any other club to promote our great sport, which is the main thing IMHO.
Hey Guys,
Thanks for the information. Please do not get into a dispute over clubs, or organisations. I have sat on the WQ board and am the current president for the Bayside Sailing club - and it really serves no purpose to ****can each other. What it does in reality is give energy to the minority that want to intentionally stir up trouble in our sport for no other purpose than their own self interest.
What i am trying to do is get an idea on the location that you as locals would think to be one of the more reliable spots that could cater for a windsurfing clinic. What conditions can you expect in a normal season in the inverloch area? We are looking at late nov / early dec.
cheers
