At a risk of never being able to sell a board second hand in Victoria again.....
How do you stop landing flat when it's 4m weather?
I know "sheet out" and "extend the back leg" but both of those didn't seem to have much effect last night...
I was getting big floaty jumps that had the board nicely up and angled at the apex but as I came down the board always flattens out.
I wouldn't mind but some of the landings were spine-tingling and the bang hurts my ears.
and I know the problem goes away if you throw into a forward... but I was scared.
Aha... thanks Joel, that's probably what I'm doing.
I think I use the apex as my cue to start flattening out... which doesn't make much sense when it's a couple of seconds before landing.
Jumps last night were super floaty
It seems like a long time. I think it's like that scene in Spiderman when he discovers he has spider senses or like that scene in the matrix where he bends over backwards and pulls a face to avoid the bullets.
Either that or time goes slowly because my life is flashing before me...
