Inverloch Sunday 17-01

We're not allowed to talk about the weather on these forums more than 2 days in advance otherwise the wrath of the Gingered Pom will be swift. Don't want to skunk the wind and all that rubbsih!

But....... I'm certainly thinking about taking a nice Sunday drive down to Inverloch this weekend...just for the fun of it, regardless of the forecast, etc.... Might see you there!

The Angling Club being the best spot to park, rig and launch. Plenty of cafe's etc. for lunch although all get very busy this time of year.

You've got the right spot - plenty of grass to rig up on. If you can, park your car to the right of the carpark near the club - gives you a little more room. You'll be sailing in a really safe spot and its good for the kids to splash around too. Don't worry too much about the outgoing tide - you'll be nowhere near the surf beach and the 'real' ocean and shouldn't be straying too far across the inlet if you're just starting out. However, its good to be aware of the tide and the current. The guys down at Inverloch are all very friendly and tend to keep an eye out for each other. I'll hopefully be there - grey CR-V/NP blue sails. There is a also a small hire franchise at this location - they mainly rent canoes but I think they may also hire smallish beginner rigs and big floaty boards. From memory, the place is called Zephyr Sports. Sure they'll be on the web. Good luck.

Yeah, it's pretty easy..... if you see Tsunami's Cafe (opposite surf shop) on your left as you drive into town take the next left and then all the way to the caravan park....maybe a 1km in distance total. The Angling club is on the right near the entrance to the park. Bound to see plenty of kite's and sails if the forecast stays as is.

We'll probably be there same time. Dark VW Caddi Van or Ezzy sails on the water.

The Angling Club is off The Esplanade and just up from the intersection of Cutriss St.
