Hi I anyone planning going down to Inverloch this Sunday?
I am hoping to get down there with my family to get more practice.
I haven't been there before and would like to know when is the best time to get there (I have been told when the tide is coming in), where is the best spot to park and rig up, and what to look out for. Bare in mind I am a complete novice.
Also my sister and her husband are probably coming down too so I wanted to know if there is a place I could borrow a couple of boards down there. I have enough rigs, but need some big stable boards so that they can at least have a little fun.
Also where is a good place to take the family out for lunch there.
Thanks.
We're not allowed to talk about the weather on these forums more than 2 days in advance otherwise the wrath of the Gingered Pom will be swift.
Don't want to skunk the wind and all that rubbsih!
But....... I'm certainly thinking about taking a nice Sunday drive down to Inverloch this weekend...just for the fun of it, regardless of the forecast, etc....
Might see you there!
The Angling Club being the best spot to park, rig and launch. Plenty of cafe's etc. for lunch although all get very busy this time of year.
Yeah, it's pretty easy..... if you see Tsunami's Cafe (opposite surf shop) on your left as you drive into town take the next left and then all the way to the caravan park....maybe a 1km in distance total. The Angling club is on the right near the entrance to the park. Bound to see plenty of kite's and sails if the forecast stays as is.
We'll probably be there same time. Dark VW Caddi Van or Ezzy sails on the water.
The Angling Club is off The Esplanade and just up from the intersection of Cutriss St.
i'll be there as well.....silver X Trail

You have a 4.0 i can borrow off ya Kato?? Hey all you guys should be coming along to the Robby Swift windsurf jam, thats on sunday at dendy st. It should be a awesome day
If you can match his GPS time, you can win big prizes. I think Kato, with your super charged Koncept, you should be able to beat him![]()
OK... so it looks like rain and real strong wind for Sunday. Not sure this makes for good learning conditions at Inverloch for me, OR the family picnic. All you hardcores go have fun, I'll probably end up going to see Robbie Swift locally.
Maybe next week. I will need to get a full length steamer for these colder days.
