9 Sleeps.
My goal for the long weekend: Jibe, jibe, jibe, jibe, jibe.
Pretty nice warm northerly we have today. Hope it sticks around so I can get a sail in this arvo. Have a bad feeling it will drop off though.
I want to see if I am able to chop-hop over your sail with my nice shinny sharp fin in the free race ![]()
The wind will die completely right now.
9 Sleeps.
Packing a Sup and 3 boards so I will have something to do regardless of what the wind does. Havent sup'd in surf so there is something I can try in case there is a windless day.
15 sleeps (I like to have an afternoon nap too)
I am going to throw a few loop attempts. If anyone sees me over cup weekend (and it has been windy) and I haven't tried, then please administer a kick in the nuts.
GP - You only post comments like this when you have seen the long range forecast as you know it won't be windy!
7 Sleeps - only a week to go chaps.
Better start getting the crap ready. Need to formulate a checklist of sorts.
Anyone have a checklist they are willing to share?
Do the SHQ crew bring spare parts with them (rope, screws, tape, etc...)
Prepare for the worst hope for the best...
Catch the plane home from Motown today so hopefully the family will give me a leave pass to get down for a day or two.
Ahhhhhh we're flying to Gnaraloo on Thurs and the forecast is terrible! Should have just gone to Sandy Pt instead ![]()
UPDATE!!!
The old hall is gone and the new hall isn't finished so the Saturday night spit roast will be at the SURF CLUB with drink over the bar (no BYO) $10 entry for food and prize draws (free for event entrants)
We've got 25kg of Lamb Beef and Pork for the spit!
See you there!!!
There has been a lot of WV membership renewals coming in over the last few days, cant say what SHQ's membership count is. Maybe the boys can give us an update on numbers?
Almost all the people that I speak to a going so we could see 50+.
Its shaping up to be quoite an epic weekend, and looking at the wind, any fence sitters will surely be swayed!
