Bad luck for me today.
This AM early, they broke into my storage cage in the car park where I live:
2013 Severne 3.7m2 Blade (blue/red) - new
2012 Severne 4.2m2 Swat (red/white) – new condition
2012 Severne 4.7m2 Swat (red/white) – repaired
2013 Severne 4.7m2 Swat (black/white) – used twice
2013 Severne Gorilla Mast, 370
2010 Naish full carbon mast, 400
2013 Chinook Pro 1 Carbon boom 135-185cm, black/white
2013 Wetsuit Neil Pryde, NPX Assassin, 4/3 mm
Chinook Medium Skinny Carbon Extension EX
Etc - spare parts
If anyone hears/sees anything, please let me know, thanks.
Gutted.
Steve
Put an email alert search on Gum tree and Ebay, also give the surf shops the list above so that if the dirty thieves try to sell it, you will stand a better chance of getting it back. Also pop into some nearby cash converters over the next few weeks and have a look!
Good luck mate. Wouldn't you just love to catch these ba$tards
and beat the crap out of them!
I can't imagine they're going to flog it at the pub so email alert on online auction forums is a good idea (including interstate).
Does your contents insurance cover you at all?
Yep, this isn't exactly the kind of stuff you can sell too easily.
And sadly, when organising contents insurance a year ago, no one would insure the contents in the storage cage
So I have copped it 100%.
Should have taken a clue when, during the past year, a number (6-7) of other storage cages were broken into. Icing on the cake: CCTV is scheduled to be installed in 2 weeks - so no video footage FML!
That really sucks, I would be spewing if someone knocked off my Severnes. Will be keeping an eye out at Dawson street and Green Point for them. Probably time to get the sharpie out and put my details on mine, don't know how they are going to move the stuff locally.

Sharpie and sail number inside the luff near the mast foot. Great idea!
