I agree Hardie, where are all the other Vic crew that sail Melbourne and S.Point. Foxy,Jman, Mr Bonominator and any SHQ,RPS guys/girls. What are you waiting for ????![]()
The boys from Geelong make the huge trek across to the Pit when its on. It WILL make you sail faster
and more attractive to the opposite sex
(Maybe not)
But it is a lot of fun and thats the main aim of what we do,apart from beating Hardie
Join up, make a new VIC team
There is a couple of guys that sail of St Kilda - one guy is a machine -> about 40 to 80 kms per day - just about every day of the week.
Thats ok echunda, I've been on Seabreeze for 8 months since taking up the sport and didn't know what GTC meant.
I do remember chatting with OB64 or Goeff down at Pt Henry 1 day and they said they were in a team that record and post GPS runs. he didn't recall what the website was he put it all on but now I know and will look into it myself. I'm growing confident locking into the straps and have been getting some crazy speeds. I'm keen to see what I am reaching out on the water.
Soon enough when the budget allows for it I'll uprgrade my GPS. After I buy a new mast to go with my brand new and wrongfully spec'd KA sail ofcourse. The old GPS I have is great for my hunting and fishing trips but its 1 of the first generation
e-trex and won't be very versatile for downloading to a PC.
Eric,
The local team is the connewarre cremasters - see www.gpsteamchallenge.com.au. Were always looking for some new team members and it all about particpation and fun ..
Yeah Eric, come join in the fun. We need someone else to give Red a hard time. He has had it easy for too long.
And Echuca : dont worry about the 'wait until I'm good enough' stuff. I was cr&p when I joined (not a lot better now lol) but it was good fun just being part of the team. Besides if you pester them enough like I did, you get heaps of info on how to improve for free ![]()
