I did the dawn check at my local flatwater spot, not much wind early on.
Was in the water by 7:20 on a 6.6, slogged for a bit but by around 8 it was building and nice, by 8:30 it was outta control for me! off to work...

Took a long (early) lunch, was on the water for about 40 mins, and waaaaay overpowered with a 5.5 (and I'm 105kgs!), a couple of others had their 4.5m sails and were getting thrown around too! weather history is showing that we were out in 40kt gusts! Hmmmm, pretty happy to be back in office now!

This is sooooo unfair. There are whitecaps on the Yarra!

soooooooooo jealous. All we got was a dodgy NE that never broke the 10 knot barrier.

Can wait for next trip to Vic - Sandy Point (speed week) or wherever its blowin.

You guys have had a great winter

Got away from work at 11am, ended up at bonbeach, a bit gusty but good with the 5.0 today. There seemed to be a touch of east in it maybe it would of been better somewhere else, Im not complaining though

It was about 10knots over the forecast here...I don't mind when the BOM get it wrong in THAT sense! Hopefully it's an indication of what's to come!?

Lots out sailing at Green Point today, mostly on 4m sails or smaller. A few like me who didn't have anything that small battled on bigger sails. I used a 4.7m Combat and was overpowered almost all the time, and on occasions blown flat. Still good fun though and lots of air off the big ramps.
