I'm not sure about this but seabreeze and all the bom models are saying less than 30 knots.
The extra ten knots (30 to 40) on the bom forecast must be some of the 'local' interpretation... be interesting to see whether it materialises

I just had a tree ripped out of the ground by the wind - literally a moment ago.
I hope that the guys out there are ok!!!
I left at 2pm. Was too tired by then. Remember I went out first while you boys all drank tea in the car park....
Was out at Pt Henry today and in the lulls it was around 25 knots but had to be gusting to around 35! The Pt Wilson chart is showing gusts of over 35.
You guys missed an incredible turn out at Rye. Biggests I've ever seen with 35+ What were the numbers like up your way?
There were 10 guys out at green point.. pretty quiet really considering it was the first decent wind since Justin Bieber's voice broke
Ah, spewing I had to work sounds like Sat was a good day. :(
Thanks Evan for the heads up. Next time.

Ginger,
I was one of the turncoats that went to Rye (I counted 41 cars in the first car park) but I'm willing to return to GP later this week to partake of the forecast good winds.
Will you be sailing and if so, how will I recognise you? javascript:insertsmilie('

Hehe thanks Bill. Won't be long before I'm doing my big placement at my school. Just hope the wind is terrible then.
