Anyone been getting out after work?
What has Ricketts been like in the arvo?
Tempted to do tomorrow after work...
Bonno was great last night slalom like conditions. Sailed from 4 til 6:30. The wind stayed in till very late.
Jman is right for more easterly winds. Last night was SSE. Direct cross shore at Bonno.
we have got more easterly winds coming. Where is the best spot close to port Melbourne?
Williamstown or Rickett's Point?
We've been having fun at Area 45 on Easterlies... Bit of a drive, but as always, worth it now the crowds have died down...![]()
Sorry it's better in a SE or SSE... later today will be SE so should be perfect there. Sometimes though those easterlies dont come all the way up the bay, but today looks promising
Flamed??????
Could someone tell me why?
I am a little slow so if there is a good reason why I have been flamed on my original post can someone PM me please so I do not make this mistake again?
Guessing some latte lovers got a bad coffee this morning? Or in their manstration cycle?
Got a green thumb from me Doug - very entertaining... except that grey suit sentence... pls delete!!! ![]()
Currently 15kts Easterly gusting to 20 kts at Inverloch just perfect.
Inverloch Windsurfing Club has got Nick Maloney Core Boardsports coming down today for some beginner/advanced wave sailing. Wind direction is perfect. Then afterwards I think a few will be heading for Area 45 for some flat water blasting. Rumour has it The Pit crew are doing a bomb on the Southerly Busters territory![]()
Another great session at 45 today, much the same as Wednesday. Really good conditions. Plenty of guys out. Was going to sail at the surf beach but had a look at 45 and decided to stay.
Due to the lack of swell at sandy I went exploring yesterday and sailed bear gulley, it was cross shore and I was using a 4.7. There was enough wind chop to get some good jumping and some small wave rides and it's a beautiful peice of coast to sail. I have been thinking of sailing it for years in an easterly.
Yep Area 45 went off today. A few of the Busters got pbs. Wind was mainly 15 - 20kts plus we got an hour of 25 - 30kts. Funniest comment of the day was Dean marching out to the water saying how he does not like windy days and prefers the light wind stuff then pops out a personal best 2 sec peak of 37kts. Woohoo go Dean![]()
