Any one windsurfed here?

Thinking it might be okay in a northerly since it is not too much of a drive from Elwood.....

Green Point even closer though! Or are you looking to try something new?

It's a lovely spot. The sand and water is really nice. The nearest thing you will get to an ocean beach on the bay.

All of that stretch of beach from Aspendale to Carrum is sort of ok in a northerly. It's a bit cross offshore so it is gusty inshore but not so bad once you get out a bit. NW is better.

A downside is that the parking as all car parks and you have to pay. They're off the street so there's a fair chance some feral from Franga might break into your car. Grass for rigging is a bit limited too, There's not much in the way of street parking unless you can get close on an access street.

Thanks - yeah something new, but reasonably close.

Sounds quite scenic in the water, which is always a bonus

Bono works from N to SSE. It works best on anything SW and is very good when its N to NW. On a N-NE the wind is sometimes not as strong as Greens Point, but the water conditions are great all the way to the shore. When its W or WSW it can get very big. But if you can go out the back in the big stuff or sail along the beach at speed.

The Bono crew is very friendly and there is some grass for rigging, a toilet block and shops (inc bottle shop).
