My newly refurbished speed board got modified by the trucking company on its way back from Sydney, second freight damaged board in 2 weeks, 2 different company's, I am friggin over them.
Substantial nose damage, full carbon board. Where can I get it fixed???
Thanks
The only mob I know of are Oke in Braeside and they have fixed 1 or 2 of my boards over the last couple of years, just be sure to mention that you are fussy and want a good job and be prepared to wait a few weeks this time of year.

+1 for Oke, have had a few boards repaired from him and he does a good job, but as Jerry says, might be a couple or more weeks, probably wouldn't get it done before mid Jan.
Oke do very neat work, but can't repair fin boxes (but I'm not sure anyone can). A nose job should be simple.
I can do fin boxes. Not sure that Oke can do windsurfers as they were a bit unsure about divinycell, pvc or sandwich construction. Might have talked to the wrong person but I would quiz them very carefully about fixing your board.

I have had some rather nasty nose smashes -> they do indeed do sandwich... they dont like kevlar at all, as they cannot cut it... sometimes they are scarce on carbon as well.
All seems like quite a lot of hassle....
Sure this is simpler...
Driving to see Fletch or Paul, having the piss taken out of you while drinking coffee and then putting a new board in the back of the van.

And you'd be the first to quote some superstitious mumbo jumbo about no wind because everyone's buying new gear! ![]()
And no, Red thumb didn't come from me.

i would be.... but Martin's experience ie buying a new board that is broken, doesn't seem to be making it any windier. Indeed xmas is looking bleak for wind at the moment.
Thanks Matt, will take it to them. Would fix it myself but this one is a bit beyond my ability, don't know WTF the freight company did but it is kangaroo Ted. I have some carbon I can give them.
Busted speed board technically should bring crap loads of wind!!!
You mean like this?
"Forecast for Friday until midnight
Strong Wind Warning for Friday for Port Phillip
Winds
Variable about 10 knots becoming south to southwesterly 15 to 25 knots this morning and locally reaching 30 knots from late morning.
Saturday 21 December
Strong Wind Warning for Saturday for Port Phillip
Winds
Southeasterly 15 to 25 knots turning east to southeasterly at 20 to 30 knots late morning. "
Thanks for the sacrifice, Martin.
