Bayside Beach Parking

Its that time of the year again where rates notices go out and parking passes are issued. More importantly its the time of year when the previous years parking passes expire!

So I am in Kingston and have a Kingston foreshore parking permit (3 years validity) to anyone that can help me out with the next years Bayside pass?

Kingston parking goes from Mentone to Seaford!

This has just come on the market - 10 secs from Green Point/Dendy. You get 2 ''free'' permits from the council if you buy it - so might be worth a look. Its quoted at $20-25m apparently, so there's room for some bargaining too. Rumour has it that it was offered to Harry Kewell, but he wanted 3 parking permits the cheeky prick - Bayside Council said ''rules is rules Harry - even Warnie's only got the 2 permits''. No class. Make sure you check the neighbours out first though - loads of yapping dogs around this area. If you do buy it, can I store my gear in your shed? Ta

I think a permit for beach parking should cover ALL beaches. Not just the one in your council boundrys.
I have no problem with the out of towners having to pay to use the beaches seeing as I have to pay in my rates regardless.

If you go to the Bayside city council website, you can buy a bayside parking permit for $180 and you don't have to be a resident.

Well I checked keast park the other day and happy to say that there are no meters in there (yet).

For information,

Was at Bayside Council this arvo and have been told by the receptionist that passes will no longer be sold to non-residents.

Parking rates on the beaches are still $3 per hour or $12 for the whole day.

Apparently Bayside residents can purchase additional passes at $300 for 2 years. So I guess if you know someone in the area you can give them the cash and ask them to buy one for you.
