There's only one way to describe the water at the top end of the bay today-BROWN.

I had a decent sail at port melb., but that water was nasty:

How far down the bay do you think I have to drive to get away from it tomorrow? (Thursday)

The water is rated poor for today again though like ejmack says it dosnt look that bad at Elwood. We are not swiming so the health risk should be minimal.
You wouldnt take a learner there who is falling off all the time.
Good thing is its easy to get a car park at the moment.

Well, I fell in enough yesterday. Water tasted ok from memory, and no twitches or I'll effects as yet Have to say though, that photo from St Kilda looks nasty in colour.

Tried to sail at Green Point today. Nasty brown colour still and quite a few dead fish floating on the surface.

A number of us sailed at Bonbeach and the water so clear you can see the bottom all the at to about 500m out until the water got too deap to make out the bottoms clearly.
