If who ever it was sees this - hi to the person out on Cherry Lake in Altona yesterday - Sun 29th. Where did you launch from, and what's the bottom like? I would have thought super icky mud. I was out at Altona on the bay, but saw you as I was heading up Millers Rd. Might give cherry lake a try in a strong southerly if it's OK.

It wasn't me- haven't sailed in Cherry lake for years. But I'd expect it still to be the same super icky mud. I used to launch form the grass north of the car park off Millers Road in big big northerlies. Apart from the mud, it was always pretty safe, and the wind was reasonably clean off the north or north-west. Not sure if it's been built up since then to make it gusty. It was a fun spot.
