I'll be the serious one here.I find running, circuit class & weights keeps me fit for anything that comes my way. Because the lack of wind, too much work problem before Green Island, I find this weekly schedule works for sailing fitness when your not actually sailing. I find weights is the most essential, plenty of chin ups and core strength work.

I've become a Pilates addict this year. All the same muscles are involved.
Its also according to some popular and possible to do Pilates whilst on a Sup.
Not that I've tried it yet.

FoS windsurfing is a thinking mans persons sport - you think about it all the time you are not doing it. It competes with the other thing you think about all the time. You need to find something for the grey matter to exercise on.

Sorry Kazz but someone who is self employed as yourself should be able to take a couple of hours off for a sail if you wish..

Or perhaps knock a day off a holiday??

Example, I dont go to Green Island etc which allows over a 10 day period.. 240 hours away from home. - Thats many 3 hour sessions i can spend and still be back to work.

Depends where you want to spend you sailing time

Not that easy Damo. I have due dates. Have to really disipline myself, I could quite easily say stuff work I'm going sailing, but I think somehow customers wouldn't understand that Some small businesses can get away with time out, but mine is so time consuming when it's on and sailing is so time consuming so I have to make other choices for fitness (less time & not weather dependant). Very frustrating when I have a tendency to want to train before competitions of any sort.
