School holidays are here and I have the fairly favourable task of supervising children at Low Head for two weeks.
As you can see there are some advantages. What a windy day today. Alan took these photos about 10:30 ish this morning, it was extremely windy and I was overpowered on a 4 mtr sail. The suns out and its still blowing a gale @ the moment.

Wild 3.5 weather here this morning. The local flag pole that I usually look at to check wind strength has half blown over and pulled its footing out of the ground. Would have been nice to have a sail but too strong for me

Ahaha - any other day, we'd kick the bin over for "artistic" purposes, but no need today!!

You could borrow my 2.5 kids rig Gill

Hey Gill
Where were you today? Pretty good 18-25 kt W. I had the whole of Lagoon to myself. A bit lighter tomorrow but hopefully I will get the kids up on the WST Rio. That would make my school holidays

I called in for lunch around 1pm, and was super unhappy I left my gear at home. I won't do that again!
Was hoping to see you guys on the water - alas, the beach was empty.

Superb conditions, and very flat - and SUNNY!

I must have passed you on the road because I left at 12.45 after 2 solid hours of sailing. Maybe Paper Beach today I looks like about a 15 kt northerly at Deviot right now.

Bugger mate!
Unfortunately I won't be getting my toes wet today - and it's looking ideal up at Lagoon again as well today
I really need to think about retiring.

No wonder you guys get such great speeds! You certainly get the wind for it! You'd need 3m sails in your quiver down there + a good wetsuit!

Thanks Johnny,
I got really excited Laura had a friend with her who also did really well. Hopefully a few more member in the making and some more gear for Dad (to share). hahaha
