Hey guys a reminder Winter racing at Lauderdale this weekend .
Reesy says
"Lovely 10 -15 knot northerly for this weekends winter race at Lauderdale sailing club, Sunday 7th July with race starting at 10 am. It may actually be sunny. The race for the pennant is close, so will be good to see everyone!!!

There is Sandy Bay Sailing Club Windsurf page set up as well that keeps everyone up to date with events.

From David Rees..

Lauderdale 3rd pennant. Great turn out with 7 boards, and it wasn't cold!!! I forget my booties, so had to sail in my socks, and Banners had the 5mm wetsuit and was literally steaming after the race. Weather was clear conditions with offshore breezes of 8 knots to 1 knot. (Probably zero) Travis Woods started well and sailing like a man possessed quickly pulled away to good lead on the first triangle, with Andrew Buckley recovering from 4th to come up to second.
Then the breeze went to custard, and Travis parked and was passed on the second lap by a wirely Chris Bird and Andrew. There was a really close due between Chris & Richard for the rest of the lap in the 3 knots of breeze, with Chris needing to sail really fast because he had to get to Bellerive to cook the pies for the North Melbourne game. Scott Law made a huge recovery and was back into fleet on the 3nd lap. Andrew just managed to get around the last mark first to win from Chris, Travis, and a great debut from new comer Cameron. Banners was fifth, yours truely 6th, and Scott 7th. The post race sausages were great as usual, particularly with the mustard! Next race first Sunday in August, and we will see if we can get ten boards!! Ps looking forward to a Sea breeze!!
