For anyone who hasn't sailed at Marion and is a bit daunted, don't be.
Marion lagoon is totally enclosed similar to Cremorne lagoon but much bigger. It is pretty shallow so is great for beginners and intermediate sailors, pretty much you can't go wrong if you're with other sailors.

To get there turn left off the hwy at Copping follow the road into Marion Bay, turn hard right where the road hits the water. 1.7 km past the bend there's a track just before the old cemetry, good spot for rigging, right next to the water.

Always great to try new spots

PS for 5x10 prize to be won, needs to be over 30 knots (the 5x10 that is) - so we don't have to bother if it turns into a drifter!!

I reckon I'll try to get there around 1PM, should be strengthening all day and high tide is at 2PM. The low tides aren't very low at all, so there should be plenty of water all day.

I'm headed across to Marion too, try to get there for lunchtime -- not that I'll contribute to the team score :-)

How about a snapped unifibre mast, Jeremy?

Looks like it will be fun 5 x 10 .........

What great Sunday arvo.

I didn't count how many we're out but it was a few.
I personally sailed until I just couldn't anymore.

I think we may see some pb's what a great session and nick nailing his gybes( both of them):)

Can't wait to see Anthony's photos. Glad I've finally joined. How do I see everyone's speeds from the day?

Fantastic day at Marion and great to see some new sailors, Victoria, Alex, Klaas and Nick all there for the first time
Sorry Nick only took two photos, seems a bit dumb but I had to take a shot of the 19 cars, must be a record for that spot....the wind came in so I jumped back in the water but you're in luck Nick I snapped you off before I did

Jodi got some great speeds and Klaas racked up 116km, fantastic

Just looked at the KA72 overlays and hadn't realised you can see where everyone's top speeds, etc are from a session. Russ, noticed your 2-sec and all of your 5x10's are on port tack, whereas mine for example are a mix of port and starboard tack, with peak 2-sec on Starboard!

That is interesting Dave, what a fantastic day. Red Team take the win but the black tip team was up there in the gun fight 0.03 of a knot behind on 5 x10 that is close

I think Kaleb will need Severne to cut him some new code red's those olders sails fit you like a glove. (I'm sure your reflex3 will as well but it is interesting) old gear is still super fast in the right hands.

Thanks for the 5 x 10 comp Dave it made the day heaps of fun

Cheers Russ

Fos, was Nick nailing both his gybes or both Nicks nailing their gybes?
From what i can gather there were two nicks getting both their gybes.
I did see a third Nick, but thats another twist

PS Jordon nailed a spock-- that is worth a mention!
