There will be a new spot guide entry once parky and Geoff give me the low down..
But it's just south or stonequarry bay, George Town.
Check thespotguide.com.au buddy, it's the bay in the background - just south a little ;-)

Hey Johnny
Does Paper Beach rate as a spot? The northern side looking at the Batman bridge with anything northerly and there is plenty of green grass on the southern side for a southerly blow. I love to sail there with a bit of tide in but I am very much a novice so it might not suit the better sailors.
Cheers
Steve.

Sailed slightly north of Pipe Clay Bay today , wind a little gusty , WNW . 25 to 30 .

Pipe Clay is right in George Town .

G'day Steve,
It certainly does mate. Between a few of us, both North and South sides have been sailed, but not enough knowledge of the spot yet.
Lots and lots of potential for sure... and somewhere we should think about more often!
We do know there's some dodgy areas to avoid, so combining our knowledge for a spot guide would be a good idea. Flick anything through to me mate. One can never be too informed!

And nice sailing Geoff at a different spot - by yourself too?

Hi Johnny,
Head down there for a look at low tide sometime. The locals have completely cleaned it up. It's back to it's prime. Pristine even. No mud, no oysters. One stormwater pipe, maybe one rock? The tide runs a bit hard on the southern side but not on the northern side. We should catch up for a sail sometime. Maybe Rustbucket68 as well? I need all the advice I can get.
Cheers
Steve.

Yea it does. It's a awesome place to rig up, looking up the river with the Batman Bridge in the backdrop.
Reminiscent of the lush green grass of Lagoon bay with the Norfolk palms swaying in the breeze.... I digress..

Perhaps we should have a mini sailing clinic/sesh at Paperbeach on the next 15knot Northly forecast once the river gets above 10degrees :-)
