Good news,
Thanks To our mate Simon Hanson, JP/Neil Pryde Australia have included Tasmania in their upcoming 'Learn to windsurf and demo day'.
A custom built trailer with all the latest 2011 boards, including learner, wave, freestyle wave, freeride, speed etc, along with complete 2011 rigs ,learner boards and stand up paddle will be available .
The dates at the moment for use of the trailer are 18th to 27th December inclusive. This allows one weekend before Christmas, and then a period post Christmas.
The trailer does not come with a crew, so it is up to us to show some support and organise the event. Along with myself we will need people to promote, run, organise and help learners etc.
This will include some promotion on face book, printed media/flyers, tell a friend and anything else we may think of.
At the moment we can start mentioning it to our friends who are interested in learning or trying out the latest gear (we never get to do this in Tassie!!).
This is a great opportunity for us to get together and promote our sport.
I will be bringing this up at the upcoming WT meeting to discuss a plan re successful organizing and running.
