Photos from Sunday at Lagoon Beach. Ben, Gill and Jeff enjoying some windy and cold conditions in the middle of the day.

Jeffs chop jump which I thing is on the forth and fifth photos was ridiculously long and the two photos don't really do justice to how long he was floating in the air.

Thanks Isaak, Jeff was rigged half a metre bigger on a 4.5 which in those conditions was a lot of power. I enjoyed the hand drags that Jeff was doing on the gybes too, very casual.

Brilliant, as Izaak said that 5th one is brilliant. Was it very gusty down there Sunday?, I think it was SW if I recall correctly....

Pretty gusty, but I have seen it worse, at least they weren't sailing directly into the chop most of the time and Gill pulled off a few gybes despite the tough conditions.

That Bic planes super early because of the hard rails but in 35kt+++ holding it down was an amazing effort. Those gusts were brutal and I think the chop was shorter and harder close in where you were .....though the ramps were bigger further out as Geoff demonstrated.

Roll on spring time and warmer water...

Go Pro footage of the crashes???

I've got about 20mins of footage that i need to sort through, it was the gopro's first outing and a combination of my inexperience using it and a number of brutal stacks meant it was very rarely lined up properly.

I did get this artsy still of jeff though

I'm home for a week late september, i reckon i'll bring the goya down in hope to avoid a repeat.

Good shot given the conditions. The go pro doesn't seem to like the low light conditions we get in winter, the image quality improves heaps in the middle of Summer.

Cool, its hard to believe that was around the middle of the day, it looks like its almost sunset. Have they let you fly an F 16 yet... that would bring those issues with control at speed into perspective.
