Bear, Fitz and I all had a good sail on the formula boards off Sandy Bay this arvo, excellent formula breeze. Certainly needed the practice. We are all keen to sail next weekend.

Just a reminder to enter the Showdown. Online entries by Wed 2nd. Cost $25. Late entries up until 0900 Sat morning - extra $10. Registration and sailing instructions available at RYCT from 0830 on Sat. Entry includes lunch pack on Sat. Racing starts at 1000. Probably best to rig on the lawns beside the dog walking beach at the end of Marieville Esp.
I had trouble entering online as I no longer had my AYF number. Entered by hard copy (on website) and dropped it in to the RYCT.
See you there.

I've entered, the forecast looks a bit dodgy but it should be ideal conditions for the Funster with a centre board.

good luck with the event this weekend...Great to see some FW racing happening again down there. We have an event in NSW this weekend also, with a terrific forecast.....
Not sure if helpful, but we have 2 division in Formula these days.
Open and Free Formula.
It has proved really successful in attracting more racers.

Anyway, enjoy the weekend...

Ditto - good to hear from you Brett. You never know we might just have to organise another Tassie contingent to come up and race against you guys in NSW's!! Really good to see the racing scene is so healthy there.

Forecast has slightly improved, back to the original 5-15 knots. Its meant to be fairly warm weather this weekend so anything could happen wind wise

Sorry didn't make yesterdays racing. Have had a weird virus thing for about a week now and Saturdays racing knocked me flat. Took it easy instead yesterday but saw you out there racing in the morning from Bellerive Bluff....looked like it was planning wind Was great fun, sometimes I wish I still had the Formula gear.

So good to see racing happening in Tasi.
We have so many new faces racing in NSW ever since we introduced "Free Formula" division which is basically use any gear you want to get around the course (1 lap).

Free Formula is also included at the Nationals also, so it is not intimidating for anyone to rock up to a Nationals event.
On the weekend we had 4 different winners in 4 races of the FF...

Anyway, keep up the momentum guys as the rest of us get pumped about any growth in the sport....Cheers and hope to see you soon...FYI the nationals details and NSW site is below:
