I rigged too big and gave the front of the carve a flogging at Low Head on Thursday. Clean break right across the bottom and up the rails on both sides. Nasty but with lots of advice from Paul I am having a crack at repairing it.

Good repair mate. But i have to get my gopro on that airplane. I put the gopro on the kite yesterday.

No fibreglass itch as yet... either im immune or you dont get it from epoxy....
I did sand a boat above my head once, man o man.. maybe all that itching is what lost me my hair!

Wouldnt that be awesome, im not real confident flying that plane (how much do you like your gopro?) but I do have a few mates that are extremely good pilots. Does around 100kmh and is fully acrobatic. We should try and get that sorted for sure!

Yep, Its had a tough life... speed saiing, bump and jump... ive even had it out in the waves... Dont stress though, im mixing the epoxy with love

Final filler was the west system with balloon filler added. Still wasnt happy with the finish before paint so went over it with a thick brush on layer of epoxy resin before sanding and painting.

Got there in the end after a few paint mixing issues...

Try anything once Damien , I reckon Epoxy would do a better job than botox...The firmer the better....... epecially around the tail........ of the board......

The weights at the front so should help you with forward loops.

Trade aid in Moonah, 62 charles street mixed a colour for me using a pantone number years ago for a exocet wave board.
The shop has changed hands now so are called something different, but still operating.
The guy in there is very good at colour matching, just take your board in and he will colour match some paint and put it in a pressure pack for $22.00.
