Steve and I are thinking of trying North West Bay, heading out from Margate at around 8am. Will try to head down toward Great Bay and see what it's like out there.

Maybe sandpits.
Kaleb, apple sauce, and Jordan are ripping it up there atm.

I whimped out but it looked fun and Jordan nearly pulled off the sweetest back loop.

Hey Russ, you should come down to Margate and get ready for a gun fight. Should be fun

Out off Dru Point. Drive to Margate and turn down Beach Rd, opposite the BP Servo.

Don't expect it to be that good, but somewhere a bit different for an average forecast. You can see it in the image below, together with Mortimer Bay off to the NE.

Russ and I are taking the 110 litre boards and 6.3/7.1 sails to Mortimer early Forecast looks perfect for that combo

From looking at that pic Dave, I hope you and Steve pack the outboards

PS where do you think the wind that hits Mortimer comes from ...

... it funnels between the gap between Tinder Box and Dennes Point (accelerating to hyperspeed) !!

Have just registered it, you've got me worried. Classic shot Steve!!!

Dennes Point has a 'Latest Coastal Water Observations' station. Been blowing 15-20 knots all morning.
