Well done Russ, good to make the most of a windless weekend!

My 'list' has shrunk a bit after this weekend too!

My list sounded like that most weekends last year thats why I was hardly ever out sailing. My New Years resolution for this year more windsurfing.

Sounds like we're getting old and domesticated, I'm really enjoying renovating & pottering around the garden, going for coffees.....until the wind is cranking then all that goes out the window.

ahh, the joy of having a missus that understands that when it's blowing, I'll go windsurfing.
I can't rate her higher.
No 'points' system at our place.

I don't understand. My wife can't get me out of the house quick enough. I think the time I've spent educating her at length about wind speed, board and sail sizes, sailing techniques and endless repetitions of "From Beginner to Winner" may be having some effect.[}:)]

I'm with Iceman. You guys have spent too much time sucking up to ur missus. If you spent more time acting like annoying twits rather than sensitive new age guys the only points system you would have is when she ponits at the car and tells you to go sailing.

By the way, I think Russell has recieved 4 brownie points for his efforts. This will allow him one point to plan to go windsurfing, one point to reschedule previous plans and one point to ak permission. That leaves him with one free point that he will be too scared to part with in case he never gets anymore. So then he will cancel his plans and stay at home.

This vicious cycle is what has destroyed many a good sailor and lowered them to the false understanding that being manipulated is all part of being a modern family man.

"Its windy, I'm going sailing. Do you want me to take the kids?"

Thats what those kiddie harnesses are for. Tie them to the back of the car, leave a bowl of water out, they can always crawl under the car to get out of the sun!
And while they sit and wait patiently for you they can eat some dirt and never have to worry about germs in the future.

I need a butler to pack and unpack the car for me. I'm tired of leaving the gear in the car all day every day, it's like driving in a closet. Now I've taken the gear out for the end of the season I've got lazy and can't be bothered rushing home from work only to pack the gear in the car, drive to where ever it's windy, then rig up, it's put me off sailing after work. Jumping in the car and hitting the gym is so much easier. Am I getting lazy, old or.....sensible!! Does any one else who doesn't own a van full of gear have this problem?

I've never been one to go after work. I really intended to a couple of times but I just found it too much trouble after working all day. I have a little spare time now so it's not such a problem anymore and I do carry around my gear in the back of the ute just in case.

Isn't that why you have Clyde

The gym.. sooooooo boring.

I love going for a sail after work, so good to wind down with a good blast.

Must admit since having the van, its a lot easier to just go anytime and not have to worry about having stuff in and on top of the car.

Just need a 4WD van without any seats in the back, that would be perfect

The gym's great for winter on those dark cold winter week nights and it's good for socializing too, it's not all about looking like a stud muffin or a gorilla it's keeping your insides fit as well.
Gee I wouldn't let Clyde pack the car I'ld be waiting for hours because he'd be padding it out with cotton wool first.

Kazz would buy a van if she needed it. But at the moment she really needs the 4wd, just incase she has to take someones kids to school in Toorak[}:)]

Yes well this is why. It's the going around Australia car (whenever that is), I love my Prado. Driving around in a van every day would give me the s...s. If I was rich I'd have both, I reckon the mini horse float like Dave's is the way to go, bit hard reversing it down mum & dad's Mt. Nelson driveway though for work.

Yer that's pretty cool, instead of the "C" I could have "K" and you could have "J". I hate to think how much they are.
