McFlying said...A bit more swell would be nice

, but happy either way.

Can't wait to go sailing. What time will we run it on saturday, when will the tides be best?

From past experience and what most crew know about northerlies on the mid - the swell usually kicks with the incoming tide and wind disappears around midday unless the front is right on our door step.
Tide will be coming in from 0930 - still enough water and a couple of nice little R) if you sail the right places and are careful where you go in and out. By the graphs the wind is meant to peak between 0800 and 1030 - I'd say just hit it in the morning - have the session betwenn 1030 and 1130 and bbq when the wind dies - Triggs or just sth of U's due to the nne component of the wind. Seaford gets too much of a wind shadow from the cliffs unless its n-nnw
And I could be full "o' sh&t as well and it will be the opposite. - Either way I will be sailing at U's around 9 till the wind fades - earlier if blowin it's bits off at sunrise.
Will post tonight after swellnet and marine forecast updates. Will email SSAWS email list as well.
See ya out there
PS We could always head to Day street if it is NW down there in the arvo!!!
