Caught the last of the big swell of the week at Robe yesterday. Consistent 25 knots all afternoon, Consistent 1/2 mast high sets, cross off. Consistent loops, consistent wave rides, consistent fun, consistent stupidity, consistent consistency.

Geoff was too busy being consistent to take any footage.

Me, i was just busy having an awesome sail.

I hope i dont consistently see brown snakes as big as the one i saw in the dunes yesterday though. Easily 6foot long.

And yes, please spare the jokes about what was i doing in the dunes

anyway, enough snake talk. At the end of the day, it was a good session that was certainly a lot better than anything anywhere near to Adelaide lately. Unless ive been missing something??

Three quarter mast and cross off at nene Thursday afternoon, powered up on my 4.5m and 76l twinny. More consistent!!!!! And cray bottom reef point breaks all firing. John Magarey sailed big pebbles that morning too.
Great start to the season, HAAK teabagged 3 nights that I know of and all 20k+

Get a life mittin, bet it was not like margs last tues......
people around the world sail sick conditions every day. if it urks you to brag about some big score down the se, move some where good i say. robe is fun but at the end of the day its a fat and weak beach wave at best. good if you get it but no way worth blowing you trumpet about.

Scotty, i think you might be confusing Geoffs enthusiasm with bragging. Granted, we didnt score Margarets or outside castles or gnaraloo but there were certainly jumps that s#@t on anything ive seen locally this summer and yeah even though the waves arent hollow they were still waves.

I think you might find Geoff is just sharing his stoke in his own way.

Ive gotta admit that if it wasnt for Geoff and Pauls enthusiasm to chase waves at Robe my only true wavesailing would be my once a year trip to Cactus, the few trips down the mid and far each winter, or Robe at Easter.

For me its all about the adventure, travelling, scoring a good sail, and cracking a beer after. Sure photos or video would be nice but id rather be on the water than sitting on the beach.

It isn't intended as a brag. Hoping others might be interested in hooking up for these as we seem to be able to read the conditions quite consistently. The more people share an assessment of the conditions the more we can all learn about the spots to sail at certain times. Certainly without this forum I would not know about Nene - as example.

P.S. Is 'consistent stupidity' a brag?

And of course you are right Scotty - WA gets awsome conditions compared to here. No dispute on that one.

Keep up the reports Geoff - nothing like hearing about the 800km trips without a sail while we're sailing 10 mins from home. Good to hear you scored

If we are only alowed to report 8 foot margies sails then looks like the forum will be a pretty quiet place.

I suppose our 1 foot Day street session SUP sailing wouldnt meet any of the new forum standards - oh well it was fun!! - and young Kurt was getting some great little waves.

Heaven help mention 8 sails in 9 days at sellicks and the mid - there were waves on two days

Keep the reports coming I say - its good to hear crew are getting on the water - even if its not 8 foot margies - in the end its all relative to where we live and what we have to sail.

I think we forget we sail because it is fun. After sitting on the side line last summer with my busted foot it makes you really appreciate every sail! Keep up the reports Geoff.

Hey nice feet..... Steve Auston, you have been rebuilt.

You should have made it down Sellicks tonight, loads of fun, nice wave and wind.

I got to share a wave with Kurt, we were trading cut backs all the way to the beach.
I loved it..... Still smiling.

Cheers for the beer Bert, thanks finished off the sail perfectly.

That's good you got a sail in. The seabreezes up our way haven't been working this week, must be the strong prevailing SE wind kills it. The late sail is tricky with a baby at home, the wife is always happy to hand him over when I get in. Merry Christmas everyone....
