should be the goods on the weekend sundays forecast is looking good for northhaven and goolwa for the speed crew. my new Tabou should be arriving this week after a three month wait so i'm hanging out to give it a run

Not sure about Goolwa in a NW, my pick would be North Haven, for both days

ooohhh yea! i got a sail in tonite! got down to moana at 4.30. got absoulatly slaughted on my 5.2... should have went 4.4 . you know the feeling when your that over powered that u struggle to keep board in contact with water and sail in up right position!!! was great fun tho!! were do most ppl sail on the mid coast on a nw??? i work at sellicks. but thats rreally gusty in that direction. it was a windy windy day... looks like this week end is wat we have been waiting for!!!

Grabbed a couple of shots as I drove past. One lucky windsurfer all by himself 25knts. Half a dozen out earlier - the waves were a bit ordinary.

Thats from Seaford "three poles" - kilometre back from Moana -- a few shllow ledges as the tide drops - good for removing fins - can head up wind to U turns and triggs or stay in the bay and get the odd right hander. If your down this way on Saturday or Sunday mid morning - you'll see where everyone one is sailing. The tides a bit full on sat morn but if the swell is big enough you might get the odd wave.

So you sailed in the morning at Seaford?

We should have gone there! North Haven was lame for both days! Kyma nd Chris got up and going for a few runs on Saturday, but I sailed in the afternoon on Sunday, lame!

NH is a nice beach though!

Low around 1100 - no swell expected - knee high - looks exactly like last weekend - light on saturday and krankin sunday

Did you sail Sunday? I didn't see you down there.

18 -23 knt plus cross off and very small waves at the mid - worth a bump and jump blast by the look of things. certainly won't be as much fun as last weeks waves.

Low tide at 1100 and it's gonna come in in a hurry - look at surf south oz or swellnet web cam to see what its like

day street might be a goer today - looks very north though and light at the moment and about 1 foot from the reports

So TT do ya have your new board yet ???? Or will it be another week on ya small gear? Where is all the wind i am hanging to go for a good sail and try my new sail's.

I didn't even leave home, I think when that rain came through it killed it. Maybe tomorrow but even then the forecast doesnt look that good.

Respectable trade winds returned to the north shore today and brought with them a surprise guest, some funky, but fun waves at Uppers!

The wind got off to a slow and shaky start today as clouds and showers assaulted the north shore. But by lunch time the clouds were clearing and the winds were building. By the time I got to the beach around 1:30, Kanaha was pretty crowded with windsurfers finally getting what they came here for. Most crowded I've seen Kanaha outside of a race day in awhile. I guess the summer crowds are back.

Conditions were pretty good compared to what we've been seeing for the last three weeks. 5.3/85 was about right most of the time. The wind was a bit up and down and got a bit flukey when it switched offshore for awhile, but overall it was fairly strong and consistent.

I haven't figured out where the out of season waves came from. These were different from the usual summer time wind swell that breaks up at Camp One. There was more of a north component to them so you could actually get a couple of down the line turns on some of them. Most were in the waist- to shoulder-high range and pretty short period. But hey, this July. We're lucky to get even that here on Maui in July.

So, everyone I talked to was pretty stoked about the day's sailing. Also in attendance were the Goya guys, Francisco Goya, Josh Stone and others out doing a photo shoot of some new Goya sails up at Camp One. The new Goyas are looking quite a bit different from last year's - they looked pretty sweet.

Perhaps the best news is that it looks like the trade winds will stick around for at least several more days. The potential fly in the ointment is they might get soggy at times. But hey, the overall pattern is a good strong trade wind pattern, more typical of July in Maui, so we're all happy here about that

Sorry Russh, I have to work today I would love to hit the mid today it looks like there is no swell.

The long range forecast looks nice! I will be sailing Friday low tide at 10:45.

That's not good Russh! I am going to sail Friday, I am hoping to wind will do the right thing for me.

It was cold, just enough to plane on a 5.4, ankle high waves and then dropped out - just as i packed up at 5 oclock it blew it's nuts off again.

feet were so cold I cut one of them to pieces on the reef out the front of U turns ramp going out and didn't realise till I was standing in a pool of blood waiting for the wind to come back in.

I ended up sailing Seacliff I was on the water around 10:30 using 5m and 83 litres then I had to changing down to 4.2m. There was a nice sea running, backside wave riding and nice jumping. I had a great time out there.

Tomorrow looks okay.

So how was it Dzub - snapper about 10 knts at 330 with a super high tide and no one around.
