If you are chasing GPS numbers waves and chop are not going to help so for people in the GPS challenge boggy would be a better bet than browns. Each to their own the important thing is that people are windsurfing regardless what form it takes. Knocking windsurfing locations is not helpful to the sport as a whole.

Calm down legless, i spent 10 years or more learning my craft at Clayton bay and 3 of those years were spent in duck lagoon around the corner at Clayton bay caravan park, when my water starts and gybes were mastered i did the Milang and Boggy thing for a couple of years only then venturing out at Kent reserve to get a taste of the salt.
Middleton, Sellicks and U turns came after a trip to Maui but i still hit the fresh stuff with my father, god bless him for introducing me to such a multi functioned sport.
Infact one year I competed in a lake George event in which I came 3rd in a Slalom race and 2nd in the speed camera speed event behind Mr McDougal of Vic. That same year i would have done the marathon but didnt posses a PFD.
To be frank I was taking the piss out of Browns and myself for heading out on wave gear in zero swell but guess what I still had fun OMG.
I'm pretty sure all SA windsurfers check all story's posted on Seabreeze and there would be a verry small percentage of them that think lake sailors are in any way inferior to wave folks.
As for GPS sailing and you boys kicking ass, wicked, go for gold and bring the trophy home!!!
OK had my spill, see you all on the lake/ bay it matters little to me.

Speed / Slalom sailors don't bag where you guys sail off the local coast but most wave sailors on here seem be negative about boggy lake and the lakes that we sail. Everyone is to their own and if everyone is having fun and enjoying themselves in their discipline don't bag what other people choose to do. Next time you head to boggy i am happy to lend you a Gps and see what you can do...

Why can't we change the name to windy lake or speed lake. Boggy is just such a degrading name for what I'm sure is a super awesome sailing spot.

Hail. if you actually look on a map that is what it is called. Boggy Lake. Its not a name we gave it....its just like "Lake Alexandrina" or "Lake George"

Lake sailing & ocean sailing. Whatever....its all good. Best not worry too much about what people say on a forum. Any forum on the net has politics and opinions so dont take offence to it and everyone keep calm!

Everyone just sail where you want. Whatever floats ya boat.
