It is sweet. Ordered it in early Jan. Takes a long time to get them now.

The wind has been bad the last week or so.

89 kgs, using 4.7 Zone , 5.4 Alpha and 6.1 Fusion. I found carbon really hard on the knees and ankles in rough conditions so went wood this time.

The wood finish allways looks great on Starboards but particularly so with those graphics.

Hey ulf,

I have been looking at getting this board. I am new to freewave boards and see the fins used are usually smaller than on freeride boards.

I see it comes with a 28cm fin, do you know what sail size would this would be best for? Thanks

I find the 28 fine with a 6.5 and rig a 7.5 on this board/fin sometimes when I am to lazy to get a 120 litre board out (but while the board still corners well with the 7.5 but in a straight line it does feel a little under finned). The board feels great with a 24 cm fin in 5 meter weather.

HI There Jono, That is not a simple question. I weight 89 kgs . I have nearlly always used 6.1 sails on this size fin and in the past used a 6.4 . I found the 6.4 spins out if it gets light and I ended up using a 32 with that rig. For the 5.4 and 6.1 it is ideal. ( I haven't ridden this actual fin yet). My previous board had a 29 fin. When really powered with a 5.4 I find a 23 cm Select X1 wave is heaps big enough. Hope that gives you bit of an idea.

Thanks for the advice guys, I weigh 70kg if that helps but was thinking the 28cm fin would be good for my 5.8 sail and I would get a smaller fin for my 5.0
