Includes tips about changing strap width:

My foot size about 43 or 9.5 US. Maybe narrowish too. I just used one hole down on one end of the footstrap. Gets to 15.5 which is ok. Lately I sail in ion windsurfing shoes since I have to walk to the beach on the street. Still why James made this 16.5 instead of about standard 15cm and never provided enough holes for the back footstrap, I don't understand. Meanwhile, look at Nano - a ton of holes to choose from.. :)

Another thought I just had is to take some old Dakine Supremo footstrap cut rubber pieces (I think that they already have velcro glued to them and attach on the inside of Severne footstrap right on the sides. May work better.. Not sure how people with smaller feet can make straps tight enough though.. lol

yes i have used the second row in those severne strapes both sides , use them and it will make the strap smaller ,i was shown this at the severne shop they are designed to do this i also like the foot strap very tight side to side so yes the asymmetric clips work well both sides ,the old metal gripper ones are also asymmetric (hole off centre) you can also try glueing a thin evo foam square about 50x25x2 inside the strap on one side or both ,to shorten the side to side lenght ,works well

I mentioned that actually, "offseted plastic plates" may be wrong term, anyway, they don't make much difference, maybe 0,5cm at total.

it actually made very noticeable difference for me. I bet it moved them at least 1cm (about 0.5 on each side).

It seems to me that second row of holes on both sides on footstrap may be needed for someone with a very narrow/small feet to curb some extra neoprene material so it's not wrinkling. Again, my guess. :)

Interesting, i rotated both bottom and top plastic parts but they are still wide for me.

In the old says, for final tuning of strap width, we used 1" stainless washers.

And that was a crap solution as it point-loaded the webbing of the strap webbing, quickly creating a hole or tear point.

Says the lightweight size 11 dude.
