has anyone had a go on the new Severne Stone yet? I'm on the Hyper 88 right now-love that narrow tail for Mauritius-style waves-and I'm looking for the right size in the Stone range. The 88L Stone has the same max width, but the one-foot-off is wider, so I'm concerned it might feel a bit 'bigger' on the water. I've seen the 80L and it looks like a real weapon.
I'm specifically interested in how the board handles proper Mauritius conditions-solid waves and side/side-offshore wind[/b]. I'm not really bothered about its onshore performance, as I've already got that covered with my Pyro 78 and my 65L Starboard Stone (the Liam Dunkerbeck model). I really need something that excels in pure down-the-line riding[/b]. Any thoughts or advice?
