Sunshine Coast Sailboards sell them (I think) www.scboardsports.com.au/

You will need to order the dakine Sliding bar kit ($15 approx) separately if you want sliding option - I highly recommend a sliding bar as you can position your body weight depending on how hard upwind or broad you are sailing without putting too much pressure on the hips and knees.

PS -spreader bars come in 3 lengths 15, 25, & 30cm. I'm around 35" waist (but not after xmas or public holidays) & use a 30cm bar which provides me with enough range but if you have small waist then possibly 25cm bar would be better suited.

my NP seat got a tear in it (after about 12-15 years - don't make 'em like that any more)

Just bought a Prolimit Rambler from WindSurfnSnow.
Lower back support felt a bit weird at first - but real good out on water.

Lots of choice in seat & waist - recommend go down & try them on rather than take any of our recommendations.
They've got a rope to hang off, so give it a good work-out

Here are some images of my less than 1 year old harness for those who might be interested in potential weak spots.

^^^^ Yeah, me too . You cant fix it easily either.
Had I known it was going to do that I could have squirted some superglue in there before it frayed.

if its less than a year old shouldnt it be covered by warranty against manufacturing faults?? Ask the shop you bought it from.

^ yeah what he said,

i have a prolimit harnes that's about 9 years old and still in awesome condition, pity my arse doesn't fit it anymore.

just ordered a dakine, was told that the sliding spreader straps aren't being imported into australia.

will buy one overseas i guess like half the other gear i've gotten lately.

Preventitive maintenance, a stitch-in-time etc

had a good look at my (same) harnees last night & decided will get a sailmaker or bootmaker to put extra row of stitching in.

In last photo, the line of stitching under his thumb - continue that up almost to top of white section to prevent pull-out & fraying.
I'd say design fault.

Send you the bill Sam

Well, just got myself a dakine xt seat harness. Feels more comfortable than my prolimit rambler. The real test will be on the water over the next couple of days. Will let you know how it goes.
