Howdy,
I bought a line of 2020 Superheroes and can't afford the original masts so I'm looking at Gun Select RDM 100. It has the same characteristics according to the Unifiber conversion table. Someone that have tried this combo and can chip in their thoughts?

I'd always use the right masts, thats what the sails were initially made around and they will never feel better than using the correct mast.
The Gun masts I've used are heavier than norths and won't feel anywhere near as responsive or rig the sails as well.
North masts are expensive for sure but you do get what you pay for.

You can check Maverx 70% from easysurfshop, they have some nice discounts from time to time, you get 20% vat reduction at prices if you are outside eu so don't forget to chose your country from top right when checking prices.

Not sure about the current Gun and Duotone masts but the 'older' ca. 2010 Gun and North masts had the exact same bend curve and where made in the same Italian factory. The only difference was the topsheet with the decals.
The current Duotone site mentions that Gun Sails masts are a good match with Duotone sails. So if budget is limited I would go with Gun masts.
HERE IS HOW GOOD OTHER BRAND SAILS WORK WITH OUR MASTS AND VICE VERSA:Challenger Sails, Ezzy, GA (2017 on), Goya, Gun Sails, KA Sails, Loft Sails, Naish Sails, NeilPryde (RDM masts), RRD, S2Maui, Sailloft, Sailworks, Severne (RDM masts, 2014 on)

Looks like the new Duotone wavesails are going flextop - what a disaster for those wanting to mix and match between year models

I've not seen or heard more on the flex top masts since then. Were they teasing Ben about it for a giggle?
I think it would be dumb to start flex top masts for a line of sails in a brand, even if there was a small benefit. How many windsurfers would ditch their old masts just for this? There are people with more money than sense who think they must have the latest kit thinking it will improve their sailing but in reality not.
