Hi - I posted this about four months ago as well - still havn't seen or heard too much about the evo 100. Looks like a good light winder - any reports from anyone out there - I,ve got a 92 evo which is great as long as your well powered and my skate 112 is a bit skitterish in the waves.

Russh - Rob who is the treasurer from the NSWWA has one as do another guy who sails at Wanda. Not seen Rob on his evo but the other lad seems to sail very well in light winds - and he isn't a small guy. Rob used to have a Rocket and I know he prefers the Evo!

I'm considering getting one as well...

the evo 100 was developed as a Wave board for Antoine - who is a massive bloke.
doesnt mean smaller sailors wont be able to turn it though - one of my all time favourite boards is still the Fish 96 for 3 or 4 years ago!

In fact i think most crew are underboarded. also dont be afraid of a larger sail (as long as its relatively light) - my current fave is a Severne 6.0 gator - seriously i prefer this over my 4.2, 4.5, 5.0 and 5.5 - why? because waves are super clean and lips are easier to hitwhen its blowing 12 - 15 cross shore

and there tends to be no one out!

We dont sell alot as it is quite a nichey board - but probably should sell more given that oz isnt really that windy for wavesailing in world wide terms. The combo with a 6 or 6.5 will be gold.

I have only heard back great things about the board - indeed there is a larger gentleman in Sydney who is absolutely ripping on one of these.

All the Evos in the range are true wave boards - not just floaty ironing boards that plane up early - so in the right hands i dont think there has been 1 released yet that doesnt totally rip - in the right hands.

Funnily enough the evos seem to throw exponentially more tail as you get them into the throwing sectiion of the wave - they are lip hitting and boosting machines - the width and short length:

a - gets you to that part of the wave with speed and drive
b - throws a nice 180 and release if you find the throw.

If you are an open face carver - look to the acid.

For the newer guys to wave sailing (and there are many out there on these user friendly machines):

The most heinous crime i have seen is crew riding them with tight straps - they WILL NOT TURN if set up like this.

ya gotta open em up the straps and get your feet across the meddle of the board - this is probably even more important on the larger ones - get this dialled and surfing nirvana awaits

I ride the 92 evo (88kg's) and love it on a wave not that there's been too many and B&J in 4.7 weather - . I have been taking my skate 112 and an S2 6.4 out in small light wind waves but slip and slide on bottom turns if you push too hard - but it gets you out there - looking for an alternative - Just wish there was a demo around.
