IMHO
At your age and budget I wouldn't bother with any learners gear it gets you out on the water but that's about it.
It's slow, heavy, expensive and boring. Unless you like boring??
If you're keen, fast learner and a bit athletic you could outgrow it in a matter of weeks
and you'll have to go thru all this expensive buy/sell crap again.
I would be looking around for a cheap 2002 125L x 260 long x 75cm wide Slalom board that's when they first started making wide boards.
They are a very stable platforn to learn, early planing and still go like stink weigh around 7.5 kg very well suited to our crappy Hervey Bay conditions.
And something you can keep for ever, (it's still my most used board), and later compliment with a 100L FSW type board
BUT they are a bit fragile (easily damaged) for learners, but nothing a few pool noodles and a bit o silicone can't fix
Once you start asking around you'd might be suprised what's out there, you could even snare a few freebies??
