Does anyone have suggestions where to sail today for me, an intermediate sailor just getting into waterstarts etc.
I was thinking of wello but the wind is too southerly: maybe manly?
wello is okay in a southerly, more consistent wind than manly, plus high tide around lunch so not much walking. manly gets a bit sheltered in a pure southerly, thou plenty of east in it today, so it will work fine.
if you are gonna sail at wello, i would suggest sailing near the sand bar, rather than near the boat ramp where the most of the guys will be. heaps of waist deep water which is great for learning waterstarts and walking back upwind if you haven't quite got that sorted.
the other option is viccy point, waist deep and sandy bottom for the first 100m from shore, plus its onshore so you can't get into to much trouble.
