Thanks for the photos -its good to look back and see what you look like sailing. Unfortunately I look like a "Bullfrog"
Cant believe how much my sail was twisting off and still overpowered
Got this week off and 20-30 till Thursday-Wish the tide was lower at VP though.

no worries phil. bugger about the mast.

lizy,

yeah i took a few photos when i first got there. to be honest i was very keen to hit the water so i was quick and tried a different metering mode.

what a day. felt like 35+ but was only 25-30. the chop was full on. some of the waves out back were fairly big, yep, breaking swells. i found the broadreach back in a challenge. flat out through knee to waist height swell only 2 feet apart.

tracked vando back thinking bloody hell he's fast on wave gear. damn!

you need a smaller kite i think. it was a quality day.

shearwater till 1-ish, then work for 2 hours, then train from 3 onwards 4 me

got your message trauma. i would have said surf fx, but maybe a bit too awkward to organise for just a day. i think if you were renting for a week they'd package together something

Great photos Gestalt - did Vando manage to keep it under control in 8th & 9th shot. Bloody scary when that happens even at 30knots let alone 40knots.

Looks like a really good spot to sail. Also I sort of know what conditions you guys had Saturday - flew into Brisbane around 11.30am for wedding. Landing in A320 was still pretty wobbly and then had to walk across tarmac. Of course I missed the only wind we had up here on Sat - thank god there was no wind Sunday as had hangover of century.

cheers sausage.

i was never a huge fan of wello. but i gotta say it's growing on me. in a northerly and NE it is very sweet, and then in a SW-W it is the best place in SEQ..... hmmm..... sweet wello.

Vicki point is also sweet though.

that was how vando put the brakes on at the end of the run. gave off some big sprays. i think he hit 40 that day also.

hope your head's ok,

haha oh yes I was there; Kitebitch for the day, but don't spread the word! lol
I was chilling and taking some footage too on the back of the Navara.

Justin, Yeh I know I need a smaller kite. Once I hit a salary next year; 7m kite is up there on the top of my 'must have' list!

ooppps or i mean windsurfing kit!
