7 am Sunday morning I'll be in bed. But I might get down there a bit later in the morning. I have a feeling that Wello may be the best bet for wind though. Vando reports there was wind there today and yesterday.

thanks, really should get reaquainted with windsurfing, the pics looked great from the windwanderers meet yesterday at Suttons Beach but think it was wise not to go - even the small waves from the pics looked to much

i reckon you should too. most of the places we go with the wanderers are fairly user friendly and cater for all levels of experience.

suttons is not as rough as it looks for beginners. especially at low tide. the sand bottom goes out to the end of the breaking waves so you can muck around in it riding waves in and never really get into water over your head.

out the back (past the break line) can be a bit intense at times. even in light winds. especially if the swell is big. [}:)]

the other thing with suttons is the wind is usually lighter at the waters edge and then picks up out the back.

a great spot to sail though.

the best place in brisbane to get yourself re-aquainted with the sport is thomsons beach at Victoria Point.

at high tide it's only knee to chin deep for at least 100m out from the shore.

Yeah I went for a drive down to VP this afternoon and it looks like a good spot - although would have been a long walk out to launch today. There were a couple of people out.
