I wont be out in the ocean(haven't sailed Neil st for quite a long time)as sold my wave board a few years ago now. Don't want to be negative but I don't think there is going to be much wind about. I live about 4km from Neil st and the last couple of days has been pretty light wind maybe up to 15knots absolutely tops with a similar forecast.
If the wind is up though Im sure there will be a few guys out like Adrian, Graham, Pete

Lungs what you doing up there fella, had a nice ( but short session) at red the other day and a cracking little bump and jump sessions at sandgate at hightide. SG worked really well today, just the right angle to blast out rather than along the beach front

thanks KA72, i am hoping the forecast is as predicted as i don't like driving too far for no wind anymore (too many other things to do), i was checking out the web cams up there today to get a better picture, no success though.

@ Lee1972, hey bud Sandgate, i lost a fin couple of weeks ago and part of the fin box at queens in 30kts don't want to do it again running into a sandbar over there was thinking heading up to the coast tomorrow if the wind is about, hows the child minding going.

@switch, no jellies a couple of weeks ago in the strong SE 's we had

SG still has lots of the blue snotty ones, just wear a full wettie.

Lungs, Kids are starting to settle down now so things are easier. Take your surf board up the coast incase the wind doesnt show

Saturday turned out to be quite good at Neil Street - a bit late I know! There were probably five or six sailors there during the day. Most guys had 6 metre sails & larger wave boards. The wind was fairly steady at around 16 knots but there was not much swell. It would have been worth the trip north.

I was about to thank you guys for oganising some wind for my trip to Caloundra at Xmas and now its not looking so good, but my home spot in Sydney is looking promising.

So what's the best spot to sail in the SE forecast?

Well I am just working out the spots myself, but if you are into the wave short board stuff you will find crew at Neill Street at Dickie Beach in a S/E, about 2km North of Caloundra. If it is South West, they will be at the river mouth at caloundra

I will be the bloke who looks most like an orangatang and doesnt really know anybody.

Lake Cootharaba and Lake Weyba are both great spots in a SE' ly if you don't need waves..

Cool thanks, I'm keen to try all the spots.

I'm bringing wave gear, slalom and SUP, so hopefuly most conditions catered for!
