Hi Haircut,
Next time Billy steals Haircuts board again, everybody should get on the water and get a free photoshoot!
Those pics are really amazing, they must be photoshopped!!?? Can I buy some?
Thanks for that,
Wim
Haircut
these are really great photographs
Could you let me know what lense you were using and/or whether you have cropped
many thanks
Doug
thanks guys
hiya doug - its just a 50d with this lens usually, but most of the look is just in the way i've processed the raw files. Yes a couple are cropped quite a bit
canon 100-400 f4.5 to 5.6 IS
Great photo's! the problem we have here in SA is that everyone wants to sail and no one wants to take any shots![]()

many thanks - nice lens - my wife liked the photos too ("did you takes those ?, they are great ?" - unfortunately not mine !!)
Looks like i may need to look at something a bit longer than the 200 i am currently using (i have the nikon D90) - 300mm is pretty inexpensive in nikon
I normally try a few shots off the harbour wall at manly after a sail - looks like i should be heading to wello more often as the light is so much better - either that or i need to learn a lot more about photoshop !
Thanks
Doug
they tend to look like they do just because i'm shooting toward the setting sun (5pm-ish) and giving the warmer light, but the rest is just raw processing
