Hi, next week I'll move to Brisbane for an internship. Unfortunately I can't bring so much stuff from Europe. I'd rather take my little waveboard (60l, I'm small too) because it's hard to find such a board 2nd hand. And after my internship I still have 2 months for travelling. But now I've read all the posts here and everybody recommends big gear for QLD. Now I mull over bringing my freestyle board. Or does anybody know where I could get a used freestyle or freestyle/wave board for a fair price?

By the way I'm always happy about a lift to the beach, as I haven't arranged a car yet. Anyway it's no fun to go out alone.

if no one in this forum has got anything that you like then definitely try surfFX on the gold coast. i'm sure they will be able to help. plus they sell a lot of freestyle and wave gear. more so than anyone else in qld.

Hi Gundy, hope you've managed to settle in Brisbane ok. We haven't exactly had much of our normal weather and wind has been scarce. Anyway if you are up for a sail in mid Dec I might be able to organise something with my cousin in Brissy who I'm planning to sail with once I get back to Oz. If you haven't got gear we should be able to sort out a board and Rig to get you on the water...will just depend on whether the wind obliges. Cheers, Tim

Working up in the shipyards in Korea mate, I do a month here then a month at home. Living in Noosa these days so don't get down the bay too much, pretty busy over Xmas but will try and make one of the race days or just come down for sail in February.
