I'm keen!
Is it a camping trip?

Hey Gestalt, I sailed Elliot Heads last christmas and thought it was an awesome spot. Is Burrum Heads considered even better?

i can't go there myself but 2 of the computer models are showing lows off CQ and fraser from the 4th onwards. there are some great tides around the 7th.

i haven't sailed Elliot heads for a long time and it's silted up since i used to sail there.

but to compare the 2,

elliot has smaller runs and better waves
burrum has bigger runs and is a lot more open.

bom cyclone outlook

Potential Cyclones:
The monsoon trough extends across north Queensland and the northern Coral Sea
and is expected to develop further over the next few days. A weak low currently
sits over northern Queensland, east of Kowanyama, and is forecast to move east
into the Coral Sea on Friday. The low is forecast to develop further over the
Coral Sea and continue to move east-southeast, away from the Queensland coast,
into the weekend. If this low does become a tropical cyclone it is unlikely to
have any significant impact along the Queensland coast.

Friday: Moderate
Saturday: High
Sunday: High

and still no joy
