Hi Kathy

Unfortunately there are no windsurfing instructors here in Rockhampton or Yeppoon. Plus not many of us windsurfers have beginner gear either. The local sailing club has beginner gear but you need to be a sailing member to hire it.

However if you do ever come back to Rockhampton or Yeppoon there are plenty of windsurfers here who are happy to assist/teach if you do have your own gear.

Are you moving to another part of Australia or going back to Germany in 2 weeks? If you are moving to another part of Australia you may be able to post something on Seabreeze now regarding learning to windsurf before you get to your new destination?

Regards
Mat

Kathy,
Try contacting the Keppel Bay Sailing Club (4939 9537) and speak to Brendan Effeney. He is the sailing co-ordinator and also a keen sailboarder. I don't know what beginner gear they have but hopefully they would be able to round something up. You should try this weekend as wind conditions will probably be perfect for learning (much to my disappointment)

Unfortunately, as Mathew mentioned I too don't have any beginner gear for you to loan.
Cheers,
Brian
