Hi, we're going for camping at Inskip Point over Eastern. I was wondering if anyone sailed there before? Burrum Heads is a 2hrs drive, but would prefer to stay at Inskip.

I had a lazy sail at DI. Some nice peeling waves.
I thought the pasage would be good in a N/E - cheaper than he barge!!

Sailed across the channel years ago- no sooner set foot back on the main land and a couple of locals approached me a said I was totally and completely mad- hadn't I heard of the tiger shark problem in that particular water way- don't know if it is genuine or they are just trying to keep a local best kept secret. Sounded genuine at the time.

Visited Inskip last weekend, didn't take my gear, but should of conditions were perfect for blasting across the channel. So we had a swim instead, no sign of any sharks.
Three trawlers working the channel probably scared them off.

Just go for it Trauma.
There's more chance of getting run over by a 4x4 at Inskip than becoming shark bait.

I did a low level joy flight around Fraser Is with my father years ago and he counted over 100 sharks from the air . I'm sure they are well fed tho. Prob wouldn't stop me either.

So, what about the bay on the east side of Inskip? Would it be too much covered in these SW winds we currently have? Or is it very shallow?
