the 18th of Dec is the preliminary date for the club xmas party. we will be confirming once the venue is confirmed.
for this years xmas party we will be going wave sailing! it will be on the sunshine coast. the venue on the table is mooloolaba. as an alternative, if we do not get a NE breeze then we will aim for neil st or somewhere else in caloundra.
then,
after the days sailing, we plan to hold a movie night at a licenced venue.
more information to follow.
Hey guys,
I've just moved over from Perth and my gear hasn't yet arrived but wondered if I can come along for the festivities afterwards? Also, will I be able to join on the day? ![]()
@ nbr - there could be a sleigh around atthat time of the year. ![]()
@ wallrus - yep, yep and yep!
might be able to swing you some demo gear also. will ask around.
timely reminder that the xmas party is approaching fast.
we are sticking to the plan.
first up we'll hit up mooloolaba for some "surf" sailing,
then off to fridays to party on to the backdrop of the club ventos beach search movie plus more from around the world.
this years xmas party is being sponsored by caloundra wind and surf. Pete will also bring some gopro footage of his annual trip to jeri hitting the waves.
Hi Gestalt. Is it subject to wind?? If not I will drop in to say hi on my way through to Noosa. What time are you kicking off? Maybe you should go straight to Fridays!
hi doodah,
this one is not subject to wind so it's all go.
kick off time is in the arvo.
the club will also be putting a tab on the bar at fridays rather than the bbq.
cheers
J
Hey gestalt - i missed the year pretty much as i have been overseas - in jeri for a while and caught up with pete over there.
Can i come along for some wind and beers afterwards?
Cheers
Will
yep doodah it happened.
was a windless day in the end. mooloolaba was like a pond.
i wasn't able to make it due to illness in the familly so peter from caloundra wind and surf took the reins as well as being the sponsor.
they moved to fridays in the early evening for dinner, drinks and movies. wanderers put a tab on the bar and pete provided giveaways in the form of unifiber products.
was a smallish group but seems everyone had a good time in the end and really enjoyed the evening.
^ that's tragic dave!
sympathies for the long drive with no result.
it definitly happened though. i believe willaus was there as well as kellie, mr coda, pete and his wife plus others from the sunny coast.
not sure where the timing went wrong? pete said they ended up at fridays around 6pm.
