Windwanderers Xmas party is on again and penciled in for the 20th December.
Thanks to the guys at Windsurfingsales for sponsoring this year’s party. They have also come to the party with giveaways for us to put under the tree including Loft and Gun bags as well as a Loft 6.6 02 2008 for demo. ![]()
this year’s party will be at Redcliffe for some bump and jump madness with the location dependant on wind. To take all things into account if by chance a "deep low"
forms like last year we will look at Victoria Point. Also as a no wind contingency we will try again the following week.
Party is scheduled to start at 1pm with the obligatory bbq and beers.
Hope to see everyone there with good wind.
HoHoHo!!!
Justin.

i'll keep the updates coming via seabreeze as my home PC is down at the moment. as a result i can only check forecasts from work and i have no ability to send out email event notifications.

with the current forecast looking the goods this years xmas party will be Sutton Beach.
high tide is around 5pm.

I'll be there too! Didn't realise I was logged in as Dylan, but I think the whole family will be able to make it![]()
While I was only there a short while, I have to say the funniest moment was..............Is that a harness hook under your jacket, or are you just happy to see me.....![]()

Hopefully won't have the cling-ons with me next meet.
Twas lovely - nice wind, some bumps, sausage on a barby, gear to try, good company, Merry Christmas all.
Did you get your sail back Vando or did Mark decide to keep it?
Sail... what sail?
He got it... after i reminded him yesterday "are you sure you don't need any of that to race tomorrow?" I was awoken last nite to Vando calling "I forgot I need my mast extension". So it was a nice Sunday drive to Lake Cootharaba and i'm happy he didnt win the quiver bag
(no one else was happy cause he won the race with it).
Hi All
Just wanted to say thanks to Justin for the day and others involved with WindWanderers group. Enjoyed meeting new friends and catching up with others I had not seen in a while, Certainly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and sailing.
Nice to sail some bumps with others ....look forward to the next meet.
(Thanks to Pete for the loan of the Lorch for a blast..
)
Cheers
Graeme
cheers everyone for joining in once more
Also a big thanks to bud and the team at windsurfingsales for all of the xmas presents plus to vando for bringing along the demo lip wave.
i have photos of the day and a run down of the proceedings that i'll upload on the weekend. stand out shots were of kellie and graeme getting some air. I didn't manage to get graeme's push loop on film but it was sensational.
i really enjoyed the sailing at suttons, been a while since i've taken on water with good size bumps. the wind really kicked in also. i noticed that the banks at suttons have moved a lot and i think it's really turning into a great brisbane "wave" spot.
12 noon had the best setup with the mid tide. there were plenty of waves coming through for riding. a few of us will head back over xmas/new year if we get another SE blow.
congrats also to mk for winning the gun sail sailbag, haggar for winning the lof sail gear bag and ka72 for the harness lines.
the harness hook under the jacket line was gold. nicholas also made me laugh. he put a couple of snags on the bbq then went for a 10 min session, returned, turned them over and headed out again. that sums up the meets to me. he was laughing saying where else can you do that. ![]()
merry xmas to all and have a happy new year. ![]()
p.s. i finally cobbled together a pc for home from parts lying around the house. just need to install software etc to be fully up and running again. will do over the xmas break and upload everything from the day.
I'd like to say it wasn't a harness hook under my jacket, but with the wet and cold I was suffering from the George Costanza shrinkage syndrome, but i was still pleased to see Surfinchick. Great day Gesty, Happy Chrimbo and New Year to all
Thanks Justin for another great day
Don't forget to bring the beers next time!![]()
Had fun session back in some bumpy stuff, a bit rusty though as first time since breaking the ankle in March.
Kellie
