I really don't see how i can have so much bad luck. Mothers day was the first decent wind in a long time and i was doing mothers day stuff so no windsurfing. Good wind through the week but no windsurfing because of school (but everyone gets that because of work). Then some good wind last weekend and i was celebrating my sisters birthday (birth weekend more like it, so no windsurfing). What are the odds that the 2 weekends in about 3 months with any wind, i was doing something else.... Sends a guy insane!!!
Simple solution- learn to windsurf when there is wind, or little to no wind- course racing by George!! Gets you time on the water in any/ all conditions.
I've done my fair share of light wind sailing and i actually enjoy it. but recently with no wind its hard to windsurf. When you start getting pushed back to shore the the wake of passing boats it is kind of demoralizing ![]()
And i want to learn footstraps so lightwind just doesn't cut it.
Dude just do what all the other kids do, wag school and go missing on the weekend. Down side is that you can't ask your olds (rents) for a lift, but if you can get a boyfriend that is like 18 and stuff, he will have a drivers licence and a car![]()
seems like you and me are in the same boat. im 17 with no car desperatley wanting to get out on the water. also ive just started getting into the straps so we are very similar in skill level. Where abouts do you sail, i usually go down to the gold coast even though i live in brisbane, its a bit of a trek, so im looking to try somewhere like wellington point or manly.

I usually sail manly but when the tides right i love sailing at wello. Im going to give victoria point a go next time i go out, it looks like a really nice place to sail. I only knew of 1 other kid our age who windsurfed and he sailed at lake cootharaba, so i havn't got to sail with him yet.
